ADYPU Online’s Post Graduate Program in Constitutional Law covers topics related to constitutional government's growth and activity in a wider political, social, historical, geographical, and international context. In leading, developing, and weakening constitutional democracies around the world, the core curriculum focuses on fundamental issues in comparative constitutional law related to constitution-making and constitutional architecture, constitutional government (horizontal and vertical separation of powers), and constitutional rights defence. All major legal systems' historical and current changes are covered in the curriculum.
Students may use oral experiences and group work to discuss constitutional questions through legal structures, engage in advanced critical thinking, and refine their arguments. Graduates are able to apply specialised analytical skills to difficult constitutional and fundamental rights issues, drawing on important comparative constitutional research and aiming to provide practice-oriented and policy-relevant solutions.
Constitutional Law forms the backbone of public law. The course sets a good base for higher studies in the discipline, by means of courses such as Ph.D./M.Phil etc. for research. Successful postgraduates are skilled in understanding the essence of the constitutionand thus enabled to start practice in courts, or on a private basis.
